Incydr’s Next-Gen Agent Tech: What You Need to Know

Last year, we introduced our next-gen agent technology as part of our commitment to delivering best-in-class detection and response to employee-driven data exfiltration. Today, we are making it possible for customers on our Incydr Basic, Incydr Advanced, and Gov F1 subscriptions to modernize their environments and experience its benefits. Read on for the why, how and when.

Data leak and theft is only increasing in volume, scope and complexity. It must be addressed with proven expertise and modern technology. To maintain our leadership position in this category, we continue to evolve our product architecture to ensure we can deliver the functionality you ask for and the market demands. Last year, we made significant enhancements to our architecture by introducing a new data storage fabric. To take advantage of those enhancements, we have also redesigned our agent technology to unlock new functionality, deliver better performance and strengthen security.

By upgrading to the latest agent, will gain access to exclusive benefits such as:

  • Continuous access to future improvements, by getting you on our next generation of technology.
  • Increased capture rate of exfiltrated files to eliminate reliance on files being present in backup sets.
  • Less impact to users, meaning lower CPU consumption, smaller agent size, and no agent UI, and no reliance on Java. 

Getting the new agent: Schedule a readiness call to discuss 

We will use a quick call with our professional services team to ensure your environment is ready to deploy the new technology. We will recommend that you review proxy settings, grant permissions to macOS devices, and update any EDR configurations. From there, your endpoints will be able to upgrade automatically. You will receive the modernized agent which collects metadata and content for exfiltrated files, and an optional agent for any devices that require additional file preservation.
