Code42 CISO Jadee Hanson Receives Pioneer Woman in Tech Award

Code42, the leader in data loss protection, visibility and recovery solutions, announced that Jadee Hanson, Code42's CISO and vice president of information systems, was presented with the Pioneer Woman in Tech Award by Minnesota Women in Tech. The annual award recognizes the accomplishments and contributions of women in the Minnesota tech industry.

Minnesota Women in Tech serves as an open source for the sharing of knowledge, information and creative ideas. The organization is focused on encouraging all women in the field of technology.

"We are proud to recognize progressive leaders who are setting new standards of excellence for technology in Minnesota, while serving as roles models for others," said Valerie Lockhart, executive director of Minnesota Women in Tech. "Their professional and personal stories are inspirational, and their accomplishments are creating new opportunities for other women."

"I am honored to accept this award on behalf of the many talented women who are paving the way for others in the tech industry," said Hanson. "Diversity in the workforce opens the door to the fresh perspectives we need to keep pace in an industry that thrives on speed and innovation."

Hanson was recognized for her role as a change agent, thought leader and mentor in the field of cybersecurity as well as her personal commitment to leave the world a better place. Hanson is an advocate for women in technology. She believes in drawing on diverse viewpoints to solve business challenges and is actively involved in developing young women for futures in technology. During her 15-year career in cybersecurity, she has led global risk and compliance, security operations, incident response, insider threat monitoring and investigation, and information systems.

Hanson is focused on making an impact not only in the cybersecurity industry, but also in impoverished regions of the world. In 2015, she founded Building Without Borders, a non-profit that constructs residential homes in poverty-stricken areas, such as the Dominican Republic.
