Code42 Wins 2014 Tekne Award for Innovation in Cyber Security

Company a two-time award winner for ongoing contribution to Minnesota’s tech-based economy

Minneapolis — Nov 18, 2014

Code42, the leader in endpoint data protection and management for business and enterprise, today announced it won the Minnesota High Tech Association’s (MHTA) 2014 Tekne Award in the “Cyber Security” category. The award—presented last week in Minneapolis—honors innovative products or services that secure networks, computers or systems from unintended or unauthorized access.

“This cyber security award echoes our commitment to enterprise-grade security on the Code42 platform—solutions that meet the strictest data privacy and compliance requirements,” said Mitch Coopet, co-founder and head of product at Code42. “Our team works incredibly hard to innovate products that employees love to use while keeping their data private and protected—we’re proud to be recognized for it.”

“This year’s recipients raised the bar with the quality of their entries. All should be incredibly proud of their accomplishments,” said Margaret Anderson Kelliher, president and chief executive officer (CEO) for MHTA. “We are thrilled to recognize Code42 for its proven leadership and commitment to the expansion and growth of technology in Minnesota.”

This year’s 15th annual Tekne Awards aim to honor those who play a significant role in discovering new technologies that educate, improve lifestyles, and impact the lives and futures of people living in Minnesota and all over the world. In 2012, Code42 won the Tekne Award for “Small/Growing Software Company.” This year, its win in the Cyber Security category recognizes Code42’s SharePlan enterprise file sync and share solution, which enables teams to work efficiently while easily protecting and managing the flow of endpoint data inside and outside the enterprise.
