Code42’s CrashPlan Wins Gold for Backup and Recovery at 2014 Golden Bridge Awards
CrashPlan honored as top Backup and Recovery solution for second consecutive year
Minneapolis — Sep 10, 2014
Code42, the leader in endpoint data protection and management, today announced that its CrashPlan enterprise endpoint backup received the gold Golden Bridge Award for "Backup and Recovery" in the "Innovations: Information Technology and Security" category.
With active participation from a broad spectrum of industry voices, the coveted, annual Golden Bridge Awards program encompasses the world's best in organizational performance, products and services, and innovation. The winners were honored during the awards dinner and presentation on Sept. 8, 2014 in San Francisco.
"Meeting data security and compliance requirements is a top priority for enterprise IT," said Mitch Coopet, co-founder and head of product at Code42. "That's why we've spent the last decade building CrashPlan into what we believe is the industry's most secure—and widely adopted—enterprise endpoint backup solution. It's gratifying to see our commitment recognized by this award program."
CrashPlan reduces the management burden on IT by empowering employees with an intuitive approach to endpoint data protection. Deployed via private cloud, public cloud or hybrid cloud, CrashPlan backs up data silently—without any user effort or intervention required—which significantly increases employee productivity. Once the Code42 platform protects endpoint data—preserving every version of every file forever—a wide array of data governance and productivity initiatives can be deployed, including e-discovery and legal holds, endpoint disaster recovery, device and OS migration, secure mobile access, and enterprise file sync and share.
This award marks the latest in a series of 2014 honors recognizing Code42 for its product innovations. In August, Code42's SharePlan secure file sync and share solution was named a KMWorld "Trend-Setting Product of 2014." Earlier this year, CrashPlan and SharePlan won Network Products Guide "2014 Hot Companies and Best Products Awards," and Info Security Products Guide named CrashPlan a winner in the "Endpoint Security" and "Software as a Service/Cloud Solutions" categories.
