FORBES Names Code42 One of America’s Most Promising Companies for Second Consecutive Year

Company moves up nine spots to No. 44 on 2014 list, only endpoint backup vendor recognized

Minneapolis — Feb 5, 2014

Code42, developers of award-winning, endpoint data protection and management solutions for consumers, businesses and the enterprise, today announced FORBES listed it as one of “America’s Most Promising Companies” as part of the publication’s 2014 ranking of the nation’s top one hundred privately held, high-growth organizations.

FORBES recognized Code42 for the second consecutive year, moving the company up nine spots on this year’s list to No. 44. Code42 was the only endpoint backup company—and one of only two Minnesota companies—included on the 2014 list. The complete ranking of America’s Most Promising Companies is available on FORBES’ website.

“Our customers trust Code42 to protect and manage the valuable information on their laptops, desktops and mobile devices,” said Matthew Dornquast, co-founder and chief executive officer of Code42. “This confidence fuels our passion to deliver the best products, service and innovation possible.”

FORBES reviewed hundreds of applications from businesses across the country with revenues up to $250 million to create its third annual ranking of America’s Most Promising Companies. The final assessment and selection was based on company growth (both in sales and hiring), quality of management team and investors, margins, market size and key partnerships.

“Producing a ranking in the opaque world of privately-held companies is never easy,” said J.J. Colao writing for FORBES. “But we’re confident that many of these [companies] are the IPOs and billion-dollar acquisitions of tomorrow.”
