Code 42 to Present at Cloud Expo 2013 New York
Company to share perspectives on why existing cloud-based sync products lack critical endpoint backup capabilities
Minneapolis — Jun 10, 2013
Code 42 Software Inc., developers of award-winning, private and public cloud-based endpoint backup solutions for consumers, businesses and the enterprise, today announced it is presenting a session at this week’s Cloud Expo 2013 New York.
The session—“Danger Ahead: Why File Sync is Not Endpoint Backup” on June 11 at 6:10 p.m. EST—will outline how existing cloud-based sync products lack critical endpoint backup capabilities for business information stored on laptops and desktops, including those capabilities required to secure enterprise data. Andrew Renz, principal enterprise engineer for Code 42, will help attendees understand the differences between cloud-based sync and cloud-based endpoint backup. He’ll provide recommendations for which solution best meets certain data needs, so attendees can learn how to properly protect sensitive business information. A webinar on the same topic will be presented on June 18, 2013 at 1 p.m. Central Time.
Renz is instrumental in architecting and deploying global backup and disaster recovery solutions for Code 42’s Fortune 500 companies. Prior to Code 42, Renz worked selecting and/or deploying enterprise backup solutions for Apple, Oracle, Expedia and Intuit. Renz spent six years at Apple IS&T, where he architected global NetBoot/NetInstall deployments, software distribution solutions and desktop backup solutions.
In addition to its presentation, Code 42 will demonstrate its CrashPlan PROe enterprise endpoint backup solution in booth #330 at the event. CrashPlan PROe is the only endpoint backup solution that runs silently and continuously; gives enterprise IT a single, powerful disaster recovery solution that’s easy to manage; provides cross-platform protection across all operating systems; and empowers end users with easy, self-service access to backed up files from any computer or mobile device.
