Company to discuss backup strategies to the cloud
Minneapolis — Nov 5, 2012
Code 42 Software Inc., developers of award-winning onsite, offsite and online backup solutions for consumers, businesses and the enterprise, today announced it will present at Cloud Expo 2012 Silicon Valley, to be held this week, Nov. 5-8, 2012, at the Santa Clara Convention Center in Santa Clara, Calif.
Andrew Renz, a Code 42 senior enterprise engineer, will present “Backup Strategies to the Cloud” on Nov. 5 from 5:10-5:55 p.m. PDT. Cloud-based enterprise backup solutions offer a plethora of benefits, yet many companies face an uphill battle when it comes to using cloud-based solutions to back up critical business information. Whether due to data security concerns or strict compliance requirements, a standard cloud-based approach isn’t always feasible. During his session, Renz will outline how to leverage a variety of cloud backup strategies to confidently secure enterprise information while meeting corporate security and/or compliance mandates. Prior to Code 42, Renz spent six years at Apple IS&T, where he architected global NetBoot/NetInstall deployments, software distribution solutions and desktop backup solutions.
Now in its fifth year, SYS-CON’s Cloud Expo – held each year in California, New York, Prague, Tokyo and Hong Kong – is the world’s largest cloud event. Cloud Expo 2012 Silicon Valley will feature technical sessions from high-profile conference faculty and leading cloud industry players. In addition to Renz’s presentation, Code 42 Software will demonstrate its enterprise endpoint backup solution CrashPlan PROe throughout all four days.
