It is with great sadness that I share the news of the passing of Matthew Dornquast, Code42 co-founder, board member, mentor and friend.

Matthew leaves behind many people who loved him, including 5 children. Over the coming days I will share more about Matthew, his impact on Code42 and information about any memorial activities. I am personally devastated by this news.

Matthew and I spoke often and he was always excited and enthusiastic about everything. I will miss him. And I will miss his support of Code42.

Matthew was instrumental in helping me get the Code42 Foundation started. We talked about the Foundation living on past the life of Code42. I could not have envisioned that Matthew would not be around to see it reach it’s full potential.

Matthew helped to give life to many things in this world. We will all miss that optimism and enthusiasm he brought to so many ventures.
