Q&A with Faraz Siraj, VP of Channel Sales

Code42 recently named security channel veteran Faraz Siraj as our vice president of channel sales. Faraz will work to grow and educate channel partners and their customers about the increasing importance of insider risk management strategies. He will help further define Code42’s channel-first strategy, craft channel programs, and grow relationships with existing and new partners as they incorporate Incydr into their security stacks. Faraz previously led channel businesses for RSA Security, Cisco’s Security Organization and ThreatQuotient.

Check out our Q&A with Faraz about his new role:

What are your priorities for the first few months with Code42?

Faraz: My top priorities revolve around transitioning Code42 both internally and externally in becoming a “Channel First” company.  My top priorities start with ensuring and enabling future partner success with our sales teams.  Ultimately this means we will develop and release a new World Class Channel Partner Program coupled with enablement, education, and certification strategies for partners on Code42 IncydrTM.

Why are you excited about working at Code42?

Faraz: I am SUPER excited about working at Code42 because it encompasses two elements I highly value:

  1. Product/Solution – since close to 2/3 of data breaches last year alone were from Insiders and this problem is not going away.  I believe Code42’s approach with Incydr is a truly innovative security solution and it provides the visibility needed to address Insider Risk.
  2. People – Code42 is a great collection of talent, culture, values, and “can do” spirit from its employees. Working together I feel we can accomplish anything. Each day I look forward to collaborating together to deliver the best solutions for our customers and partners.

How do you see the data security and insider risk landscape growing or changing in the coming year?

Faraz: As the digital world we live in continues to exponentially grow, we are also faced with the reality of the huge security risk this poses.  According to the recent report by Forrester  “2021 Predictions for Cybersecurity,” insider threats were highlighted at the top and they predict this will continue to grow another 25% in the coming year.  This is a major issue that must be addressed!  I look forward to working with our partners to help address Insider Risk for all of our customers.

What’s always on your desk when you work from home?

Faraz: Snacks must be within arms reach.  Lately, it’s been mixed nuts as it’s easy to munch on during the day and between meetings.
